Rep. Barnhart’s Electric Vehicle Charging Station Bill Heads to the Governor
SALEM – House Bill 3301 ensures that residents of condominiums and homeowner associations can purchase clean electric cars, and be confident that they will be able to charge them without undue interference or cost.
“Electric vehicles are becoming popular, and will be even more so, if they can be recharged at home over night,” said Representative Barnhart. “This bill helps those who live in condominiums install and use chargers at home.”
Oregonians have always supported clean, advanced technology, and Oregon is setting sales records for electric vehicles. Oregon's electric vehicle industry is already worth over $260 million annually, and this bill will help support its continued growth,” said Jeff Allen, Drive Oregon.
The electrical vehicle industry is growing quickly and Oregon should be at the forefront of this revolution. This bill removes a barrier to making that transition.
