Holidays at the Capitol

Holidays at the Capitol, an annual tradition produced by Visitor Services, will not be taking place until 2025. The historic Capitol, which includes the Rotunda, Galleria, Governor Ceremonial Office, House and Senate Chambers and hall of Governor's portraits, is closed to the public during a large-scale construction project.

In 2020 and 2021 virtual holiday content was provided during the pandemic, but due to the ongoing nature of the project it was decided to "go dark" until we are able to host festivities again inside the building.

Below is the 2021 virtual holiday performances by Willamette Master Chorus, the Western Oregon University Chamber Chorus and Voices ensembles, and Hermiston High School Chamber Choir. It also features a segment from the Department of Forestry and our friends at the Oregon Association of Nurseries as they bring in the poinsettias to decorate.
