DEMOCRAT TAX BILL IRRESPONSIBLE & UNNEEDED

SALEM, OR— Rep. Mike McLane, House Republican Leader, issued the following statement today about the latest tax increase proposal from House Democrats:

“Oregon has a math problem created by costs and spending. The state budget already has $1.7 billion more available, yet that is not enough for Speaker Kotek. If House Democrats are truly serious about providing more money for services, they will fix the biggest cost driver, the Public Employees Retirement System.”
