REP. MCLANE’S STATEMENT ON DEFEAT OF K-12 BUDGET

SALEM, OR – Rep. Mike McLane (R – Powell Butte), House Republican Leader, issued the following statement regarding the defeat of the K-12 school budget in the Oregon Senate:

“The decision by Senator Edwards to join with colleagues across the aisle to advocate for our schools sends a strong message. There is bipartisan support to move forward this session with real PERS reform proposals like those supported by Oregon School Boards Association.

The choice to address this massive cost driver hurting our schools remains with Speaker Kotek.”
