SALEM— House Republicans today announced the formation of a caucus policy committee to develop its agenda for the 2012 session and beyond.  Oregonians are encouraged to send their ideas and solutions to the committee by sending an e-mail to yourideas@oregonhouserepublicans.org.

“The House Republican Policy Committee is charged with developing public policies for improving our economy and reforming state government,” said House Republican Leader Kevin Cameron (R-Salem).  “We encourage Oregonians to participate in this process.  By sending an e-mail to yourideas@oregonhouserepublicans.org, Oregonians could see their ideas turned into action in 2012 and future legislative sessions.”

Members of the House Republican Policy Committee include:

Rep. Cliff Bentz (R-Ontario)

Rep. Sal Esquivel (R-Medford)

Rep. John Huffman (R-The Dalles)

Rep. Mark Johnson (R-Hood River)

Rep. Mike McLane (R-Powell Butte)

Rep. Julie Parrish (R-Tualatin/West Linn)

Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner)

Rep. Kim Thatcher (R-Keizer)

Rep. Matt Wand (R-Troutdale)

Rep. Matt Wingard (R-Wilsonville)

“The Policy Committee reflects the diversity of our caucus, including talented men and women from Oregon’s rural, urban and suburban communities,” Rep. Cameron said. “The diversity of this group will allow us to focus on solutions that help the entire state.”

The House Republican Policy Committee will meet throughout the interim in advance of the 2012 session, and throughout the remaining months of 2012 in advance of the 2013 session.
