10 worst states for making a living, while the Wall Street Journal has ranked Portland near the top of its “
Misery Index.” With high unemployment and rising prices, Rep. Matt Wand (R-Troutdale) today rose on the House Floor to say the Legislature can do more to help families during these difficult times. House Republicans have introduced HB 3448 to increase Oregon’s child tax credit and to adjust the state’s income tax brackets to provide relief to low-income Oregonians.
