Bill Kennemer has deep
roots in Clackamas County. He has dedicated much of his life to serving the
community in a variety of different roles. He earned his undergraduate degree
from Warner Pacific College in Portland and holds a Ph.D. from Fuller Graduate
School of Psychology in Pasadena, CA.
As a trained clinical
psychologist, Senator Kennemer understands the importance of finding agreement
and consensus amid conflict. He brings that temperament to the legislature to
try to find common ground and bipartisan solutions for Oregonians’ most
He formerly served on
the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners and as a member of the Oregon House
of Representatives. His community involvement stretches from environmental
advocacy, Chambers of Commerce, the County Fair, to supporting the local libraries
and the arts and heritage of our beautiful County.
Senator Kennemer lives
with his wife, Cherie, in rural Oregon City. They share 4 married children, 15
grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
