Representative Ann Lininger
Democrat - District 38 - Lake Oswego
Capitol Phone: 503-986-1438
Capitol Address: 900 Court St. NE, H-485, Salem, Oregon 97301
I am honored to serve as our community's state representative in the Oregon Legislature. House District 38 includes the City of Lake Oswego and all or parts of these Southwest Portland neighborhoods: Burlingame, Capitol Hill, Carson Heights, Dunthorpe, Englewood, Hillsdale, John's Landing, Multnomah Village, Riverdale, Riverwood, and West Portland Park.
I ran for office because I believe that Oregon can still be a place where people come together to solve problems and create a better future. You have shared with me your desire for leaders who know how to build coalitions, treat opponents with dignity, and negotiate solutions. As a business attorney, mother of school-aged kids, housing advocate, and child of a southern Oregon small-business family, I have met and worked with a wide range of Oregonians, all of whom have distinct views and values. As your representative in Salem, I am always looking for common ground to get things done.
Priorities for 2017
This session, I will be focusing on three main priorities that reflect critical areas where we can make real progress in our district. These interconnected issues all have a significant impact on the overall well-being of our community:
1. Expanding Economic Opportunity and Resilience. I will be working hard with colleagues in the legislature to foster business growth, improve our transportation systems, support fairness for working people, and protect our environment.
2. Strengthening Our Public Schools. I will be actively supporting efforts to increase instructional time and high school completion rates, to improve college readiness and access to technical education, and to make sure girls and students of color have equal opportunities.
3. Helping Vulnerable People. I will be advocating for smart policies that protect our community from gun violence, ensure access to reproductive healthcare, prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, and help fellow Oregonians who are facing issues of addiction or mental illness.
Representing my neighbors in the Oregon Legislature is a great honor and responsibility. With your input, we can achieve great things in 2017. I hope you will get in touch by phone, email, or in person.
