REP. KENNEMER & SEN. ALAN OLSEN
SCHEDULE JOINT TOWN HALL MEETING
SALEM, OR--Rep. Bill Kennemer (R–Clackamas County) and Sen. Alan Olsen (R–Canby) will hold a Town Hall Forum to update citizens on the 2013 Oregon Legislature and answering questions about state government. Expected topics include the state budget, school funding, Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) reform and prison sentencing.
DATE: Tuesday, May 14
TIME: 4:30 to 6 p.m.
WHERE: Estacada Community Center, 200 SW Club House Drive
“Town Hall Forums are one of my favorite opportunities to hear directly from citizens on the issues they are most passionate about,” said Rep. Kennemer. “It’s also a chance to catch them up on what we’ve done during the first half of this year’s session. There is still a lot of work to be done on school funding, the budget and PERS reform, and that means there is still time for people to make a difference.”
Rep. Bill Kennemer was first elected to House District 39 in 2008. Prior to that, he served for 12 years as a Clackamas County Commissioner and 10 years as an Oregon State Senator. His district includes Beavercreek, Boring, Canby, Charbonneau, portions of Damascus and Happy Valley, Estacada, Mulino, Redland and rural Oregon City.
Sen. Alan Olsen has lived in Oregon for 30 years and Canby for 20. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Olsen was first elected to the Legislature in 2010 to represent all of the aforementioned areas, as well as downtown Oregon City and Gladstone.
“I am delighted to now represent Estacada, Eagle Creek, Boring and the surrounding areas, and am looking forward to meeting them at this Town Hall Forum,” Sen. Olsen said.
