Julie Parrish is the state representative from House District 37, which serves the communities of West Linn, Tualatin, Stafford, River Grove, Durham, and Marylhurst. She was elected in 2010 and has served as the Deputy Leader for the House Republican caucus.
Julie lives in West Linn with her husband Mark, a retired Army Colonel, and their three children: Max, Tucker, and Gage. All her children attend public schools in her community. A native Oregonian, Julie has spent most of her life living in Oregon.
She attended Portland Community College and transferred to Southern Oregon University where she graduated with a degree in Communications and a minor in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Management. She later earned an MBA from Marylhurst.
As a small business owner, Julie has spent years helping people be better with their personal spending. She currently owns a company called PIP Communications, a data and online media company.
Outside of the Legislature, Julie is an active community member. She works closely with a number of local groups and organizations, and is a member of the West Linn Chamber of Commerce; West Linn Rotary and West Linn Lions Club; she's also a supporter of Soroptimist International.
In the Legislature, Julie serves as a Vice-Chair for the House Committee on Veterans Affairs. She is a member of the House Committees on Education and the House Committee on Transportation and Economic Development.
