In 2008 I was appointed as House District 17's State Representative, where I get the privilege of representing 65,000 citizens in Linn and Marion Counties, including the communities of Detroit, Gates, Idanha, Lebanon, Lyons, Mill City, Scio, Stayton, Sublimity, Sweet Home and Waterloo.
Within the Legislature I am able to serve on the House Judiciary Committee as Vice-Chair, House Natural Resources Committee as Vice-Chair, House Rules Committee, House Conduct Committee, and the Joint Committee on Student Success.
Before being appointed to the House Legislature I worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Benton and Grant Counties, and was also a small business owner. Aside from my volunteer work on the Oregon School Boards Association, and as a volunteer within the schools of my community, I served as Chair on the Lebanon Community School Board.
I encourage you to participate in the legislative process. Please feel free to contact my office to share your ideas, thoughts and concerns about issues facing our district. If you are in Salem during the legislative session, you are welcome to visit my office at the Oregon State Capitol. I hope you will utilize our services as you negotiate through state agencies and have legislative questions, concerns and ideas. We are here, at your service. I want to hear from you, understand your priorities and have open communication. Please call my office at 503-986-1417 if I can ever be of assistance to you and your family.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your State Representative.
