Contains information relating to an Executive Appointment (EA) to a board, commission or other entity, appointed by the Governor, and subject to Senate confirmation in accordance with ORS 171.562, & ORS 171.565.
Overview Tab
The
Overview tab shows the pertinent information about an appointment, such as:

Current Location – Where this appointment is in the Senate’s legislative process.

Current Committee – Lists the committee the appointment is in, during the period they are “in committee”.

Appointment To – The name of the board, commission, or other entity that the appointment is for.

Term Details – The beginning and ending dates, or other values indicating the proposed term.

Senate Convenes – Visible for Interim appointments that are grouped for confirmation on specific dates – displays that date.

Notes – Explains what executive appointments are at a high level.
- The
(r) notation indicates the appointment is a RE-appointment to extend a previous term to the same board. On the committee agenda this is noted with an *.

Measure History (expansion section) – Lists all activity that has occurred on this appointment.

Scheduled Events (expansion section) – Lists any upcoming scheduled events for the appointment, either committee hearings, or confirmation on the Senate floor.
Meeting Types:
Executive appointments are potentially scheduled for a subset of the types of committee meetings that are used to hear bills. The links to any scheduled meetings will show in measure history.

PAW: Public Hearing and Work Session. When a committee chair anticipates taking action on an executive appointment during the same meeting, a combination of public hearing and work session is scheduled.

PUB: Public Hearing. Scheduled for the purpose of hearing testimony on an executive appointment, but without taking any action (vote).

WS: Work Session. Scheduled to allow the committee to debate the merits of an executive appointment and take an action (vote). Testimony may be taken but not required.
Analysis Tab
The Analysis tab consists of any materials submitted for that appointment during its committee hearing, generally executive appointments have limited material of this type.
Testimony Tab
The Testimony tab collects all written public testimony submitted for that executive appointment.
If applicable, includes any presentations displayed in committee for that specific appointment.
Register to Testify Tab
If there is an active meeting scheduled for the appointment, clicking on this tab will take you to a screen to register to testify.
Submit Testimony Tab
The Submit Testimony tab allows public viewers to submit written testimony if the appointment is still within the allowed window for public testimony.
Boards, Commissions, & Other Entities
The Board page lists all appointments to that board, grouped by legislative assembly, over its history going back as far as the 74th Legislative Assembly (which was the 2007 Regular session and 2007 – 2008 Interim). Current location/status indicates the current state of the appointment; not all appointments are confirmed. Status location of “EA – Confirmed” means that the appointment made it all the way through the process and was confirmed.
