This holiday season visit the Oregon State Capitol and enjoy events sure to be a hit with your entire family!           

 

The annual Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place in the Rotunda on Tuesday, November 29. A performance by South Salem High School kicks off the celebration at 5 p.m. The tree lighting ceremony will take place around 5:30 p.m. After the ceremony, Santa and Mrs. Claus will delight children and provide photo opportunities.  Cookies and punch will be served.

  

Musical performances will take place Monday through Saturday in the Capitol Rotunda, November 30 through December 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  School choirs and musicians will represent their communities from throughout Oregon. Visitors to the Capitol during this holiday celebration will be immersed in the atmosphere of the season as they listen to the choirs, view the beautiful decorations and watch the American Flyer model train circle a miniature village under Oregon’s official holiday tree.  Performances will be streamed live Monday through Friday.
