In Oregon, an estimated 15 percent of the population 5 years and older speak a language other than English at home. More than half of those speak Spanish. An estimated 220,000, or 5.5 percent of the population 5 years and older, report speaking English less than very well. Additionally, nearly 5 percent of Oregonians have hearing difficulties. Our goal is to support every Oregonian, regardless of hearing abilities or language spoken, in engaging with the legislative process.
