The Oregon Laws are often called the "session laws." Each enrolled bill approved by the Governor is assigned an Oregon Laws chapter number by the Secretary of State. Chapter numbering begins with 1 for each regular or special session. Statutory initiatives adopted by the voters receive Oregon Laws chapter numbers for the regular session that follows the election.
Each Oregon Laws compilation includes legislative resolutions and supplemental documents, including the index, tables and foreword.
