Planning Your Event
Choose a day and time for your event. Choose an alternate date in case your first choice is not available. Decide if you prefer a conference room, hearing room, the Galleria, Capitol Plaza, or other available space. Estimate how many people you expect to attend your event and decide if you will serve beverages or food. If reserving the Galleria East, estimate how many chairs and tables you will need. Note: maximum tables is 6. Decide on the length of your event and the set-up and take-down time needed.
Building Use Policy
Review the Building Use Policies and Guidelines for the Capitol prior to your event. You may also request a copy from the Capitol Building Use Coordinator at 503-986-1384. For the most part, users of the Capitol space may not charge admission or deny access to people who want to attend the event.
Schedule Your Room Reservation
Reserve your room by emailing your request to capitol.events@oregonlegislature.gov or call the Capitol Events Desk at 503-986-1384 to make your reservation. If leaving a message, include the contact and event information, email address, date requested, event hours, estimated attendance, type of room requested, and billing address.
Reservation Confirmation
After your reservation is made, you will receive a confirmation by email. Within seven days of making the reservation, return a signed copy of the agreement form to the address listed on the document. You may also return the signed agreement to
capitol.events@oregonlegislature.gov.
Payment for Reservation
An invoice for all event-related costs will be mailed to you at the beginning of the month after your event. Payments may be made in advance through the Financial Services Department.
