Welcome to my Legislative Website
It is an honor to represent House District 8 in the Oregon House of Representatives. Our district includes Central and South Eugene, from the Willamette River to Spencer Butte, plus part of the beautiful Crow-Applegate-Lorane Valley. I've called Eugene home for over 30 years, and like many of you, have seen it grow and change in that time. As HD 8's state representative, I'll work hard to ensure our community continues to be a great place for everyone to work, play, and raise a family.
As a long time educator in K-12 and Higher Education, and as a community advocate for affordable housing, I am dedicated to finding solutions for stable and affordable housing, strengthening our K-12 and Higher Education systems, and ensuring our community is a place where working families can thrive. This means a commitment to finding solutions that address both the current high cost of living and the need for good paying jobs. I'm also committed to ensuring that all Oregonians have access to the critical healthcare they need and to protecting our environment and natural resources for future generations.
In the House of Representatives, I am honored to serve on the House Education Committee, the House Labor and Workforce Development Committee, and the House Housing and Homelessness Committee. You can learn more about these committees and the work we do by clicking on the links provided.

Your participation and input in the legislative process is critical and I invite you to take an active role by engaging with both me and the legislature. I encourage you to contact my office to share your perspective by email or by visiting us at the State Capitol when we are in session. My office is also here to serve as a resource and can provide assistance navigating state agencies or in accessing resources.

You can learn more about important policy issues happening during the session or about my efforts as a state representative. My office communicates with regular updates about what I am working on and about future town halls or constituent gatherings in our district.
Learn more about legislative committees or bills that have been introduced, by using the Oregon Legislative Information System (OLIS) website. On OLIS you can search by bill number or text and you can sign up for email updates on a specific bill or committee. Most importantly, you can submit testimony and share your perspective on the issues and bills that that are important to you during the session.
