The Legislative Equity Office was established by statute 173.900 et seq. to build a culture of inclusion and equality. We envision a general assembly free from harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, where people are treated equally and with respect; diverse opinions and perspectives are sought and valued; the voices of the people are heard; and ideas that can transform communities are fully realized.
