​I am honored to represent the people of Milwaukie, Oak Grove, Northern Clackamas County, and the Sellwood, Eastmoreland, and Woodstock neighborhoods in the Oregon State House of Representatives. While the scope of this new role in the legislature is larger than when I was the mayor of Milwaukie, many of the issues we grapple with are the same. Our residents care deeply about the housing and unhoused crises and want to see actionable solutions, they see the growing impacts of climate change and want to preserve a habitable planet for their children and grandchildren, they see the widening wealth gaps and want to restore economic fairness in our society, and more.

My approach to solving these problems has always centered upon investing in good working relationships with my colleagues. Regardless of political affiliations, my experience has taught me that we achieve our best work when all voices feel heard and respected. I bring this same commitment to my legislative role and work diligently to cast informed and well-considered votes on behalf of my district. In all things, I strive to be authentic and sincere.
