I'm Nancy Nathanson, State Representative for District 13 in the House of Representatives, and you've found my website. District 13 includes north Eugene's Harlow, Cal Young, Northeast, Goodpasture, River Road, and Santa Clara neighborhoods.  You can find my contact information at the top of this page and use the sidebar on the left to read my newsletters, testimony, and updates. Over the past several years, I have passed bills to ensure health care insurance rate transparency and regulate prescription drug middlemen, protect consumers and renters, and guarantee accountability for public contracts.  Helping local programs have led to benefits around the state, like funding for school health centers and an earthquake early warning system and wildfire detection camera system at UO’s Oregon Hazards Lab. I’ve helped solve problems and bring funding for a number of local organizations such as Relief Nurseries, Looking Glass, YMCA, Options Counseling, and Civic Park.  My recent areas of focus include access to healthcare, consumer protection to shield Oregonians from unfair business practices, and cybersecurity.

In the 2026 legislative session I successfully brought minimum standards and transparency to urgent care clinics and streamlined background checks and credentialing to help caregivers, counselors, and therapists get to work more quickly and help people waiting for care. You can find more of my legislative history here.

In the 2025 session, I passed legislation to prohibit non-compete contract clauses to allow physicians in good standing to keep working in their communities. I helped pharmacies by requiring pharmacy drug “middlemen” administrators to follow transparency laws and engage in fair dealing, as well as championing legislation that extended property tax exemptions to additional low-income limited equity housing cooperatives.

Please use the tabs on the left to find more information about all the bills I’ve written and passed over time, read my e-newsletters and public statements, and more.

If you have questions about a state agency, the legislative process, or how to get involved, please reach out to my office.
