Welcome the Legislative web page of Senator Bill Hansell.  It is an honor to represent Senate District 29, which includes Wallowa, Union, Umatilla, Morrow, Gilliam, Sherman, and parts of Wasco Counties. Our district is home to some of Oregon's most beautiful landscapes such as the Wallowa Mountains, Grande Ronde Valley, Blue Mountains, and the Columbia River Basin.

In 2013 and again in the 2014 legislative sessions we tackled many issues that affect Eastern Oregon such as water related concerns, job creation, and agricultural issues. As a former Umatilla County Commissioner and now as your State Senator I understand Eastern Oregon and how important natural resources are to the local economy.  As your Senator I have worked for greater access to natural resources for jobs, energy, and a sustainable future.

As we approach the 2015 session, it is our goal to continue to work toward a stronger and more robust Eastern Oregon Economy.  We are proud to serve the citizens of Senate District 29 as your representation in Salem.  I encourage you to contact my office with any questions or concerns you have or regarding future legislation.

Sen. Bill Hansell
