Oregon's Historic Senate Floor Desks

Since 1939, every Oregon Senator has occupied one of the thirty Senate floor desks in the Senate Chamber. From 1939 until 1977, a Senator's floor desk was their primary office space in the Capitol. Today, Senators also occupy offices in the Senate Wing which was competed in 1977. Each Senate floor desk includes small brass plaques on the side memorializing each Senator who has occupied the desk since 1939.
