Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It is an honor to represent Senate District 21, serving the people of southeast Portland, the City of Milwaukie, and Oak Grove. I was first elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2015 and after serving a term in the House, I was elected to the Senate in 2017.
During my tenure in the Oregon Senate, I have championed legislation focused on supporting families and schools, ensuring fairness and safety in our workplaces, and protecting our environment. I worked hard to pass Oregon's Equal Pay Act, Paid Family and Medical Leave, the Student Success Act, and legislation tackling greenhouse gasses and carbon emissions. I also worked to address human trafficking and led the legislature's 2020 redistricting efforts as the Chair of the Senate Redistricting Committee.
For the 2023 legislative session I serve as the Chair of the Senate Committee on Labor and Business and also as a member of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and the Joint Committee on Legislative Audits.
My office is always ready to help. We want to hear your ideas and better connect you to your state government. Please email or call us anytime at email@example.com or 503-986-1721. My staff, Katie and Zack, will be happy to help.
I invite you to sign up for our newsletter. It is an easy way to keep up with the legislative work I am doing in Salem. Enter your e-mail address into the box in the upper right corner of this webpage to subscribe.
Your ideas are very important to me. I will always seek to represent the values of our district, and I look forward to working with you make Oregon a better place to live, work, and raise a family. Please stay in touch.
Senator Kathleen Taylor
