Welcome to my Legislative Website.
Thank you for visiting my legislative website. I am honored to represent Senate District 13 which includes the communities of Charbonneau, King City, Metzger, Sherwood, Tigard, Wilsonville, the Southeast part of Beaverton, and Yamhill County. As your Senator, I am committed to working for the people of our district and making Oregon a place where everyone can succeed.
I grew up on the south side of Chicago. After graduating from a tech-oriented high school, I served in the U.S. Army for 6 years as part of Strategic Communications (STRATCOM) and secure message processing computers (CRYPTO). After leaving the Army I moved back to Chicago and continued my high-tech career working for several international computer corporations. I eventually came to Oregon when I was recruited by Tektronix in 1996 and later Xerox where I worked for over 24 years as a Senior Executive managing a department focused on helping service partners deliver outstanding service and improve the customer experience..
Since retiring in 2020, I've served my community and have a strong commitment to making it a place where everyone can succeed. I served on the Wilsonville Development and Review Board (2013-2018), Wilsonville Planning Commission (2020-2022), and Clackamas County Community College Board (2020-Present).
I have been appointed to serve on the following committees:
- Co-Chair, Joint Committee on Information Management & Technology
- Co-Chair, Joint Committee on Ways & Means Subcommittee on Transportation and Economic Development
- Member, Senate Committee on Veterans and Emergency Preparedness
- Member, Joint Committee on Transportation
