Senator Lynn Findley has deep roots in Eastern Oregon. He grew up on a small farm in Malheur County, where his family has lived for three generations. Lynn has been married to his wife, Shelley, for 48 years.

Lynn represents Senate District 30 which encompasses Malheur, Harney, Grant, Baker, Wheeler, and Jefferson Counties, and parts of Lake, Wasco, Deschutes, Clackamas, and Marion Counties. He served as the state representative for House District 60 from 2018-2020 before being appointed to the Senate in January 2020 and elected in November 2020.

During the 2021 Legislative Session, Lynn was elected by his colleagues to serve as the Senate Republican Assistant Leader. He served as Vice Chair of the Senate Energy and Environment Committee, and on the Senate Finance and Revenue, Joint Transportation, Joint Tax Expenditures committees and the Joint Committee on the Interstate 5 Bridge.

Prior to his tenure in the legislature, Lynn worked for Fire and Aviation Management within the Bureau of Land Management for 32 years, giving him extensive program management and budgeting experience developing local, regional, and national budgets with BLM.

He most recently served as the City Manager of Vale, Oregon for five years. During that time, he was able to secure funding for an $8.5 million water system upgrade to the municipal system, which brought the city water into compliance with safe drinking water standards. He has also served on the Malheur County Planning Commission, Lakeview City Planning Commission, Malheur County Rural Lands Committee, Southeast Area Commission on Transportation, and the Malheur County Economic Development Board.​
