Respectful Workplace Training

In an effort to foster a safe and respectful workplace in the Oregon State Capitol, all legislators, legislative staff, legislative interns, legislative volunteers, and lobbyists who are required to registered with the Oregon Government Ethics Commission must attend the training annually, per statute, ORS 173.915 - Respectful workplace training (public.law).

The Respectful Workplace training cycle for 2024 is finished. The 2025 trainings will roll out in fall 2025. Please check back later in the year to register for a mandatory training session.

For questions about the training, training requirements or applying the training towards continuing learning credits for attorneys, please reach out to Aislyn at Aislyn.Matias@oregonlegislature.gov.

Please note that Rule 27 trainings are in-person. Virtual attendance options are available for those whose primary place of residence is outside of Oregon, or online training can be substituted once every two years as a matter of last resort (e.g. protected leave) (ORS 173.915).
